Airborne LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is a proven technology for collecting fast and accurate data of earth surface using aerial vehicles. The technology is
based on long range laser scanner combined with GPS and inertial technology to create a 3D point cloud data. The LIDAR 3D point cloud is used by many different industries as it provides valuable information. The system is very economic comparing to the traditional mapping technics. Especially for the hardly accessible areas like mountain tops or thick layered forestry areas. Depending on the type of application it is possible to have the data in color or with different resolution.

Lidar has two main products:

- DSM (digital surface model), surface model with vegetation and buildings
- DTM (digital terrain model) ground model without vegetation and buildings

We offer the following services using LIDAR data:

  • Electrical Utility Works: Preliminary route mapping and environmental evaluation to as-built transmission line facilities
  • Environmental Works: Water quality regulations, volume control, watershed and flood analysis, forestry health and tree height analysis.
  • Mining Works: DTM and volumetric mapping, time-sequenced topographic modeling to facilitate subsidence monitoring.
  • Civil Engineering Works: Corridor mapping for highways and pipelines, creating slope maps, cut and fill modeling.
  • Depending on the systems used it is also possible to create high resolution orthophoto and ortho-mosaic imagery.
